Dashi PPT Skill - Browser-Editable AI Presentations
A free open-source AI-agent skill that turns documents into browser-editable presentations: 12 visual themes, 1020 layouts, per-page control consoles, and one-click export to HTML, PDF and genuinely editable PPTX.
A recommendation post from Jacky无限生长 (@Jackywxsz), and the first skill — rather than a prompt — in this collection. His argument: the PPT skill made by 大师 (Master, "dashi") is the ceiling for aesthetics, editability and interactive experience, but people overlook it when ranking PPT skills; the ones that usually top the charts are fine for demos, but demo output and production-grade delivery are different things.
The skill is open source on GitHub as dashi-ppt-skill. You hand your document to an AI agent, and it generates a full deck where every page ships with its own editing console — anything you don't like, you fix right in the browser, then export.
The scale numbers: 12 built-in visual themes, 1020 layout pages across 20 page roles (cover, table of contents, metrics, trends, comparisons, flows, risks, closing...), and 8,576 adjustable controls. Layouts cover charts (radar, waterfall, treemap, funnel, heatmap, sankey, gantt) and analysis models (SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, PEST, business model canvas, double diamond).
Editing happens three ways: every page has a console with sliders and toggles for layout, module count, palette and page focus; any text is click-to-edit in place; and media slots swap by click or drag. Nine page-transition animations, thumbnail drag-to-reorder, dark/light mode, and a presentation mode round it out.
Export is the part that makes it production-grade: offline HTML bundle, PDF, or a genuinely editable PPTX with per-node restoration and text kept editable. You can also skip HTML entirely and ask the agent for a PPTX file directly.
Install is one command (Node.js 20+; PPTX/PDF export needs local Chrome/Chromium/Edge). Tested with Claude Code, Codex, 豆包, Cursor and other local agents; plain web chatbots are not recommended since the generator needs local Node.

A small note on the original: the tweet carries no link; the GitHub repo comes in the author's own reply. Two caveats worth knowing before adopting it: a 10-page deck costs roughly 100k tokens in testing, and licensing is AGPL-3.0 with a proprietary exception — the PPTX export engine subpackage must stay part of the skill and cannot be extracted or redistributed separately. Content stays local: generation, editing and export all run on your machine; nothing uploads except npm dependency install and a silent version check. At the time of archiving the tweet had 18 likes, 35 bookmarks and 4,982 views.
